In recognition of the Marine Corps’ founding 251 years ago, a luncheon will be held at Forbes Tavern in Grantham. Kearsarge Marines is an organization of former Marines who live in the upper valley area. They meet annually for camaraderie and to celebrate the founding and accomplishments of the United States Marine Corps. The group was founded in 1997 and is comprised of about 50 members.
